My tank is only 6 weeks old, not even sure it is totally cycled yet to be honest, and today I came home to find baby Mollies swimming around!!! Well, most were hidden, and it took me two hours to find and catch them in order to separate them to a separate tank so they wouldn't be eaten. I was able to find 5 so far. TOO CUTE!

Anyway, I have no idea what to do next. I will go buy one of those breeder tanks tomorrow or the day after. Any advice on food? Also, unfortunately the mom looks like she has 2-3 white spots on her tailfin. I hope this isn't ick! But it is probably a result of the ammonia still in the water (I have been doing daily water changes to try and get it out).

I need some help, I have a couple of issues going on at the same time and didn't expect babies in the mix! The tank I have them in right now is not even a real tank with a filter, so somewhere to house them with some plastic plants.

THANKS!

you can use crushed up flakes, baby brine shrimp and there is also First Bites which is made for newborn fish. good luck with the babies!

Because of the threat of ick in the tank (is it ick? its only 1 fish, actually the mommy molly, with 2 white spots on tail), should I not buy the breeding tank and put the fry back into the main acquarium?

Just concerned because the tank I have them in right now has no filter. No heater either, but it is summer and I have a light shining on them.
