My momma black molly gave birth to over 60 healthy swimming babies last week. Within a week, they ALL died and the number went down to 6. They were in a breeding tank, so they couldn't have been eaten by other fish or got sucked in by the filter.
The water parameters are also right. There's no ammonia, no nitrite, and almost no nitrate.
So desperate to save these guys, I switched from feeding them just crushed up flakes to baby brine shrimp. They had a much bigger appetite after the switch and LOVED the brine shrimp...
Now the 6 are growing as healthily as ever.
But.... can I feed them SeaMonkeys too? They kinda look like brine shrimp; I was wondering if they were the same thing... (it's because the brine shrimp just don't seem to hatch enough in time.. and SeaMonkeys are so plentiful right now in my SeaMonkey Jar... hehe
