Hello! :)

My java ferns just had babies. There are still a few growing on the leaves, but they've started to grow big enough to be teased off the leaves and attached to a big piece of mopani wood in my tank. The mopani is still slightly furry with water mould (as mopani tends to be in the first month or so). Though the mould's dying off and seemingly doing a great job of fertillising the ferns and moss I've planted along it.

The thing is, one of the baby ferns is starting to look quite yellow. Is this because it's still young, or is it a nutrient deficiency of some kind?

If the mother plant is growing fine then its unlikely to be a fert deficiency. Its probably just natural die off as it gets used to having been booted out of the house
