hi. i have 2 baby guppies. one males one female and they are 2months old. the female is showing signs of pregnacy. she has a big belly on her and the black gravid spot. i have read on the forum about posiblephantom pregnancies and i was wondering if this is what she is going thru?? if so is there anything i should be doing??

A female guppy will give birth about every month. If you have nothing that you can see that is less than 2 months old, chances are that you do not have enough cover or a large number of fry to survive after they are born. If you want more fry to survive, I would suggest that you need more dense cover for the fry. A truly dense planting is more than most people are willing to do for their fish. My own tank is not as dense as it would take to be certain to have fry survive but is fairly dense with both artificial and real plants. You need something at least as dense as this.

hi no i got the 2 fish from a friend to help her out. they are 2 months old. and i'm conceerned if she is preggers or phantom as they are moving tank soon.

The gravid spot really isn't that great an indicator. All female Guppies have them, gravid or not. Some may be darker than others. It could just be that she is overfed...or she could be pregnant. Guppies reach sexual maturity between 2-4 months.
