Hi all,

I setup my 30G tank a couple of months ago and have cardinals angelfish and a tio of cockatoo apistos. Low and behold i found one of the females protecting some fry! she was doing a good job at chasing away the others.

Shes brgiht yellow and i can see about 5 fry, none really have yolk sacks anymore. Do i:

1. leave them and see if they survive
2. buy a floating fry cage and some liquifry food on saturday.

??

i dont mind letting nature take its course, i doubt they will survive being eaten, but is there even food that they can get from crumbs or food i put in or off the plants?

cheers

Get a little breeding tank and try and catch them, shame to let them get eaten! Don't buy liqui-fry, get some baby brine shrimp and just crush some high quality flake food into dust and feed them that about 6 times a day and the frozen bbs once.

That's what I have done with kribensis, swordtail, ellioti and jewel fry and all are fit and well.

Congratulations on the fry!! :good:
