Baby Fish Colour

hey!
I hav recently managed to save three baby fantails but they are green!
The male is a SUPER healthy gold fantail and blindes ya when ya look at him coz he's so shiney. And the female is a black moor. Also VERY healthy and deep in colour.

Anyways, why are the babies green?

Are baby fish usually this colour?

Baby goldfish of all varieties are bronze - the colour comes later.

thew true colours dont always come out untill they are about 1 year old. I have some fan tails that are 2 years old and they have only JUST this week I have noticed started getting some lovely colours to them.
