Well as some of u may know i want to breed my bettas and im all ready for it..i have bbs for the lttle ones. But ive read that baby bettas can eat crushed food flakes..i also seen some myself eat some .. Why do ppl say its bad??

Well looking at it from my point of view
1 the fish may choke on it if it is too big

2 fry food has so much more protien in the ordanary crushed flake this is to help them grow quick amd healthy

:)

Well i use a jbl fry food it lasts for ages ive raised 2shoals on this stuff and all fry are healthy and strong :)

new born fry won't be able to eat BBS so you will need something else for the 1st 2 weeks or so. i used Infosia for mine, then BBS from 2 weeks, now at 7 weeks there on BBS & 'Betta starter' which are tiny tiny pellets :)

I was thinking about that infusoria but i dont want the tank to turn cloudy even with water changes. But i cud always give it a try :) when can they first start eating??

my tank never went cloudy :) i placed a 7l tub with tank water and live plants near my window, then added egglayer food daily and got a nice culture going :) i started feeding as soon as i removed dad

Infusoria has never made my water cloudy either.
I also use what I call "fresh water plankton" (infusoria, daphnia, seed shrimp, scuds, and FW shrimp) they keep the water clean of that mulm and sludge since many of those are detritavores and actuallly eat that stuff. I keep most of them in a HOT (hang in tank) refugium with Riccia and Java Moss, so they dont take up much space. My fry tank is set up with a carpet of Java Moss, a Moss Wall (in progress) and riccia which helps keep water stable and gives fry and plankton a hiding place to feel secure. Feeding and set up is as simple as putting more moss in the tank
That gives my fry all kinds of menu options. Because the offspring for all those creatures are small enough to be eaten, and since I have a colonies of them, there are specimens of each species in all life stages, so fry grow out pretty well.
