hey guys. i got myself a silver arowana today. i have it in a 30 gallon tank and should recieve my new tank within 3 weeks. its a 7ft custom build.

what would be the best food for a young aro and how often should i feed because i know a few people that have over fed there fish and died because of it.

also my aro is being a bit shy at the mo. will it come out of its shell anytime soon>?

1 Arowana>>>>>>>>how big?
1 Snakehead>>>>>>>what type and size???
1 Clown Knife>>>>>how big??
2 x Oscar >>>>how big??
1 x Marble Catfish (10inch)>>>if the others are babies, iam guessing this is a marble clarius??might eat the others
2 x Convicts>>
1 x Firemouth

Sorry to be blunt, make sure your going to upgrade as those fish will never all survive in a 30......
Feeding depends really on size, prawns all or chopped,cichlid pellet's,blood worm,silverside's,carnivore pellet's,earthworm pellet's,meal worm's/earthworm's/cricket's/
Arowana is a carnivorous fish. In wild, its food consist mainly insects, fishes, prawns, worms and small amphibians. Live food are preferred by arowana though they can be trained to accept other food. Variety in food is a MUST to avoid nutritional deficiency

i think u have read and assumed to fast lol. i have not finnished updating my sig.

2 oscars / catfish /cons and 1 firemouth in 1255 gallon.

snakehead 4 inch / aro 4 inch in the 30 gal. i am getting a 180 gallon tank within 3 weeks hopefully. if not i will have to buy a smaller one as the one im waiting on is custom.

Did not assume just went with what i read
ok sounds better, but keeping an aro in a 30 for any length of time will not do any good,
which snakehead do you have<you may notice i love channa :hey:

if that is a dwarf channa sp. then i think it will probably become aro dinner!!
something is telling me it aint a dwarf though. erm is it new in your tank? not much color, can see some spots down the dorsal, see if it colors up better and try get a clearer picture.
