Sorry I haven't been around much - busy with crap.

I have two batches of fry. I think I've messed up the RTxHM spawn. *Sigh* I got sick and couldn't change their water for two days. >_> One day I was just waaay too ill and the other day my fingers were too cold to test the water temp, so I didn't do it rather than get the temp wrong and kill them.

I did buy them plants and a sponge filter for each however.

Both are doing great. I've had maybe eight die between the two. There was a bad episode with some of the large fry eating the smaller in one of the spawns, but the plants put a stop to that.

When do you start changing water daily? I don't want to start too soon, and have my babies die of shock.

On Sunday, I moved my 1 week old fry to a 10 gallon. Filled halfway. I have been adding a gallon a day since. (2 days) On sat, when the 10 is full, I am going to put 5 gallons from there, into a 20 gallon tank, with 5 gallons of aged water. Then repeat a gallon a day. Until they are old enough for full water changes.

That's when I start changing their water, at week one. I just pull two or three gallons a day and replace them.

Being sick and having fry is absolutely the worst, I hear ya. I've had some funky illness for like two weeks now I rarely get sick but when I do,I go out with a bang
I'm sure they've forgiven ya though How old are the rt/hm,do they have caudals yet...?
