Babies! Help

ok ok, so i went to P@H and got 5 Silver & 5 black Molly's, and i put them in my tank


and i see a baby in the bag, then 2, then 3... and i was like, wow cool..

so i left it for 5 mins, and looked agian, and saw them swimming, so thought i would make a seperate pot thing floating in the tank and put the 3 in it,,,, and now there are 19,... yep u heard me right 19.

I caught the 3 i saw in the bag, but then more kept appearing,, its now 2 hours since i put them in the tank, and i am still seeing more and more, another 2 just apeared next to the volcano in the main tank while typing this!!!!

so what do i do!!!!>>>>>>>>

Congratulations, expect more babies on a monthly basis, if you leave them in with the parents some will be eaten.

The only way to stop them having babies is to seperate the sexes but females store sperm and can still have up to 6 batches of babies without a male.

What size tank do you have?

you have live bearers and about every 4 weeks they drop babies...just like guppys,if you want add lots of top cover/float plstic plants for them to take cover

so i should leave them in the main tank???

now 22 and counting

oh i have a 90L tank

unless you have a seperate tank to raise them in you may as well add them back to the main tank and add some plants for cover. they can have around 60 babies at a time and will give birth every month so you will soon have loads.

It depends if and how many you want to survive. I would keep a few out of the main tank and let the rest out - some are bound to make it although it depends on how many hiding places there are.

they were doing well at hiding, so i have took that option, they hid for ages from me!!! lol.. and were faster than me,,
