Whoo hoo! - I've finally gathered up all my supplies and was ready to start a couple days ago. Spawning set up, grow out tank, microworms started, conditioned with bloodworms 2x a day, drinking as much soda as possible....
Anyways here we go!:
Timeline
2 days ago- Deuce goes into spawn tank - no nesting over those 2 days(doh!)
10am sept 23 - Babe reluctantly enters vase and ends up in spawn tank. Vertical stripes appear in about 2 seconds - amazing to watch!
12pm sept 23 - lots of flaring, no nesting
7pm sept 23 - feeling bad about leaving babe in the vase for so long.... but he begins nesting!!
1027pm sept 23 - It appears deuce failed bubblenesting 101. I can count the number of bubbles on my fingers and toes...ugh. Babe appears to have crapped her pants pretty good.
Guess I'll give this till tomorrow afternoon so as not to stress her out too much, and will put a male in the vase for a bit....
