Hi,
I have a 54L tank and I was wondering if I could put an axolotl in it? I'm not sure how big thay grow or how much space thay need.

thanks,

larger than that, although I'm not sure on the minimum size tank required.

Also, not a community inhabitant.....species only tank.

That'd be enough for one on its own, so long as there isn't anything else in there. Also, bear in mind that axolotls can (and will!) get over 30cm and live 10-15 years. The first 3 I got 8-9 years ago are all over 30cm now! If you still think you could give an axolotl a home, they prefer shallow water if possible at an absolute minimum of roughly 40l per axie :)

My tank is about 2ft long, 1 foot high and the sides are 1 foot across, but I can't find anything to make sure.
