Hi there, i know this seems like a silly question but i thoughi would ask anyway. I know they would eat my neon tetras :grr: and possibly my platies, how ever i think my rtbs, pearl gourami's and bristlenosed plec would be too big. If anyone has any info on Axolotls or on the possibility of keepng them in a community tank then i would love to know what you think.

Many Thanks.

I've heard they will adapt to a acceptable temp for most tropical fish, guess that would be around 22-24C.

axolotls aren't the brightest of animals, so might have a go at something much larger than they could actually consume.
personally i wouldn't risk it, and would put them in a tank of their own if you really want them.
as for temp, they would be ok at the lower end of the tropical range as stated already around 22-24.

I'd also worry about their gills. They're external and pretty delicate - if a fish took an occasional nip at them, it could do a lot of damage.
