Hi are axoloti compatable with fish at all ? as i would like one in my tank or is that a big nono.

cheers

Nope. Any fish you put in will end up as a meal.

Perhaps lol, but either way, a small fish is going to get eaten and a large fish is going to eat. There's not really anything you can put in with an axolotl.

ahh i think i give that a miss then lol just the missis thinks there "cute" i wants one

If you have a look in the inverts and amphibians forum there's loads more info on them if you wanted to set up a separate tank. I think they're cute, but I only have space for one tank and they're not cute enough to get rid of my fish! :p

Axolotls don't really do much. Not as interesting as fish and you need to keep them in the dark pretty much. Fish like to munch on their exposed gills. Wouldn't put them both in the same tank.

My axolotl is awesome, I would recommend getting one. They're greedy and hilarious. But he can also chomp down platy-sized frozen fish in a couple of gulps and he's not even fully grown - as as everyone else says, definitely don't mix with fish.
