No, fish will either get eaten or will eat the slime on the axolotls causing them to get bacterial infections

yes they are a coldwater species that don't require a heater

my wife likes them they are ok but wldnt have one really

she wld like one or two but so far i havent given in to her i rather have more then one fish in a 2ft tank these will need a 3ft tank in time as they do grow
