Away For 4-5 Days, Wat To Do With Fish

hey folks, it my wedding next week and i will be leaving home for abut 4-5 days, i usualy get my mum or sister to feed them but this time everyone i know inthe neighbour hood is coming to the wedding. i dont think i have time to order a auto feeder, will these weekend tablets work? its a 385l malawi tank, they are used to getting no food 2 days a week so maybe they would be ok but want to check with you all to see what you would do

for that length of time - they should be fine to simply go without food. I've left my trops for 10 days with no issue.

Same here: I went on holiday for a week and my fish were fine without food.

I only left little jars with doses of dry food for the tank in my office because the fish were recovering from an infection, but even then only 4 meals for 8 days.

Leave them without food and they will be more than fine.

its up to you, but for 4-5 days they'll be fine.. but just to put your mind at ease just before you leave but the weekend, put the weekend tablet in... then they will go with out food for.. 2-3 days... they will always find bits of scrap at the bottom of the tank as well..

cheers everyone for the advise and congrats. i will leave them as thye are, like you say they wil always find some scrap lying around the back of the rocksand they can always have a wee feed on the algae
