So, I ordered dividers to divide my tanks for my bettas. The measurements they gave were off, and they're much too big! Now, I have 2 10 gallon tanks, a 1 gallon tank, and 3 gallon tank. I have 6 bettas on the way.... I was counting on the dividers! The store doesn't have enough and won't have enough for another two weeks... I have vases... How can I get the two bettas that will be put in the vases safely until the new dividers get into stock and get here?! God help me, I've gotten myself into quite the pickle... Any ideas?

Plastic mesh, cut to size as a temp divider or Perspex .

You could try cutting them with a electric saw or take them to a professional to cut them.

go to lowes or home depot and the sell acrilyc sheets at 2 dollars for a 8 by 10 sheet and that should be enough, but just to be safe you should get some of the bigger ones and saw it to the right measurement or you could do this

My only wish was that I found it earlier... I accidently killed a betta due to a) keeping it an unheated vase, b) not knowing what the heck fin rot is, and c) adding hot water...

After I got that poor thing home from the store, i read they needed warm water, so i tried to keep it warm, when the fin rot started getting really bad (i bought it with it), i tried adding hot water to "warm him up" nope... i cooked the poor boy... I feel terrible over that.. R.I.P. Kitchi (his name was Algonquin for "Brave")

Yes, the day before I tried to heat him up, I realized he had fin rot, so, i ordered $65 worth of fish medicine... so now, I like to think I have a nice basic fishy medicine kit...

Here's what I have, tell me if you know of something I absolutely need to order ASAP or I should have in my kit!
Aquiri-sol (freshwater cure & preventative for ick, closed fins, body fungus, velvet and other parasites)
Betta Revive (prevents and controls: protozoan diseases, bacterial diseases, and fungal diseases)
Maracyn
Maracyn 2
Bettafix

That sounds good. If you use too much chemicals though there is also the risk of stressing out your fish even more. I heard many stories about that and thought to give you a heads up.

Oh yeah, I just have those for in case one gets sick, thankfully, since Kitchi, I have not had any problems with sick fish! I'll always be sure to make sure I don't use too much! BTW, whats a good stress coat? I just realized I'm out, and mine wasn't working that great

I used to use Stress Coat Plus + manufactured by API. Then just a few days ago I switched to Prime manufactured by Seachem. I have nothing bad to say about Stress Coat Plus +. I switched because Prime supposedly takes ammonia out of the water if there is an ammonia spike. I only had it for two days but only time will tell.

I love prime, and it does as it says, in the event of an ammonia spike, dose your tank, an hour later, all good

Thats good to hear cause I just had a small .25 one not too long ago. I added java fern and Prime and am about to test tomorrow!
