Ok well im gonna get my 4ft planted ...

Gonna use...

Tropica plant substrate, Ferka Liquid fertilisers and I have decided i WILL use pressurized c02!

I will fit another 2 42" 36watt bulbs along with my current 40w and 36w!

Meaning just over 2WPG as the tank is around 60 US gallons!

I just cant decide how i want to disfuse c02

In Georges recent journal for a client he has got the c02 running directly into the filter intake ...

Any ideas how he does this ...

Its probs a silly qquestion but i dont want to go cutting(if i have to) at my filter bits and screw up my nice Fluval 304

Is it jus a matter of shoving the co2 pipe into the intake!?

I have also heard of these Inline reactors ...

And also any reccomendations on pressurized kits would help alot!

I want to be cost effective, I do know about the fire extinguiser ... but refilling sounds like alot of trouble for me so i would jus rather buy refills each month or so

Any thought and ideas of what is best for me would be very much appreciated!

I bought a D-D Co2 set, mine was supposed to come with a ceramic diffuser but actually came with a powered pump to smash-up the CO2 bubbles and blow them around the tank. Too big for my 15-gallon but it would likely be perfect for something bigger, I am using a ceramic diffuser instead. All-in it was £100 delivered via www.aquatics-online.co.uk with refil bottles being ~£15

I wanted something easy and not having to worry about finding and travelling for refills etc. The gauges etc from www.flubenol.co.uk are recommended by others on here if you want to source your own bottles.

I use a ceramic diffuser directly under the filter intake and the micro bubbles are sucked straight through the filter, meaning no bubbles flying through the tank. It may be possible to cause cavitation of the impeller but, personally, I have no problems. Injecting an undiffused bubble in to the intake, however, could be a different story.

I have also heard of these Inline reactors ...

I use a reactor in my 60l tank and can recommend one. The plus side is no bubbles flying around and less equipment in the tank. It will reduce the output of the filter a bit, though. No problem for me because I always overfilter.

Hmm thanks guys ....

I thinking either ... D&D or JBL!

JBL comes with the perma test soo thats kinda good!

But the D&D comes with a Solenoid which IMHO is a whole lot better!

Ill probably purchase a rhinox 5000 and put it right under the filter intake, sound ok ?

I want mainly slow growing plants as im fed up with pruing all these Hygro WEEDS in my 14Uk gallon!

So im thinkin Crypts along sides, maybe some kind of grass like plant (some kind of vallis) all the back along with others

And i want a fair bit of wood with Anubias, Java ferns and mosses!

Im also thiniking some kind of rock around the bottoms of the wood would look nice also would be need to hold the wood in position!

They shouldnt be seen too much once all my Rhinzone plants grow

IM pretty excited about this tank, I want it to be nice and fairly easy to maintain as it is in the living room and the family are always in there, usually im up here in ma room on this
