Astatotillapia Latifasciata
They grow to around 5" and are mouthbrooders.....The males should preferably have 2 or more females each... they are more aggressive than average (certainly mine are).... I've got them in with Livingstoniis and they are very territorial. Only the males have red bellies. They are reported to be crytically endangered in the wild, but they seem to be easy to breed.... the female is an excellent parent caring for the eggs in her mouth for 15 days (without eating anthing) before she releases the fry. Mine bred at a water temp of about 25Deg C.

Thanks for that Ludwig, I don't want aggressive tankmates as I am looking at having keyhole cichlids so thanks for that, I will give them a miss!
 
Yes!... esp. Keyholes will be intimidated for sure... they are too peacefull for Astatos...(even though they'll have a size advantage)
