Hi
I have had 2 assassin snails in my tank for 2-3 months now since i got over run with pest snails. I have just recently transferred them, along with all my fish, to my new tank on Sunday just gone. When I picked up what I thought was the first and dropped it into the new tank, I then realised that it was both of them stuck together. Upon inspection they sort of looked like they where mating but also looked like they were possibly trying to eat each other. They were 'stuck' from Sunday then separated Monday but are now stuck together again and have been since yesterday, they aren't moving around the tank much either.
Is this typical mating behaviour?? Will I have a baby assassin soon? :)

Any advice appreciated
Scott

Yes. The mother will burry the babes in the sand/substrate where they will live for a few months until they erupt out of the sand when they feel confident enough in their size. Expect to have a bunch of little guys appear in a few months. :p
