I was going to get one of those the other day but its not really active just sits on the bottom very nice fish though. I went with the nigrovardis instead, but im going to exchange these for columesis in 2 weeks.

Nice fish there, i want one myself but i dont have the space for another tank at the moment, if i find space for another tank then thats the probably the next fish i would get, im well into puffers since i got my dwarf. What size tank you got it in? and whats the dimensions?

It's in a 24x12x15". So 70litres. IMO it's is fine in that. It doesnt move alot, if not at all, only to get food (ambush predator), water changes are done at 30% every week and the filter holds alot of media. Plus im not a newbie and have 4years experience.
I hope you can get one. Theyre fantastic.

Have you been able to sex it yet? Mine has laid eggs several times but there's no male to fertilize them. Ironically, the feeder shrimp eat the eggs

Thats the exact size tank i was planning on putting one in as well, in the future its possible i will have space for it so i will probs go with that size tank and overfilter it.

Edit: forgot to mention that the lance fish are dead and frozen, I dont believe in feeding live fish..

cool puffer, he looks really grumpy lol, is he on his own or can you keep him with anything.

It's on it's own. The only thing you can keep them with is another Arrowhead. They must be together when young and grown up together though (form a pair). Small fish will be eaten whole and large fish will be torn apart or very badly hurt.

I can induce mine to lay eggs if I do a water change with cooler water than is in the tank.
