well there was 1 egg but the parrot cichlid ate it and boy was the aro mad nearly tore him apart had to separate them :no: doesnt really matter that that they ate the egg I wouldnt of wanted to raise that kind of baby do you know how much it would eat lol
 
The parrot is probably just laying eggs..... the arrowana could be trying to eat the eggs, and the parrot was protecting them. That sounds like a logical explanation, but of course I could be wrong.
 
I hate to rain on anyones perade but i dont think an arowana mateing with a parrot fish is even remotely possible.

I have heard of female parrots laying and protecting unfertilized eggs, i think this is the only possible explaination. the jaw locking must have been the parrot defending her part of the tank, i dont think the 2 fish would corroperate long enough to even try breeding let alone produce offspring (which is definately impossible) would like to see somthing like that thogh, would be one ugly fish :D
