Arowana Problem

quite possibly. Did you keep the filter wet and in water while you were doing the change? (just checking the obvious here but you added dechlorinator, right?)

Cycle is honestly worthless. Many members here have tried it, including my self, and seen no benefit from it

For right now, leave the lights off and keep the room dark, that will hlep to ease stress.

He should be, however, he will be more prone to disease for a little while, as stress decreases their immune system (the small tank is also a source of stress). Any chance of getting the koi outside tomorrow, cleaning up the tank, and giving him and the pleco a nice big home? Plecos can grow to 18 inches, so the 10 gal is too small for him as well.

You bought a baby arro, which is a common enough newbie mistake, But I have some other questions for you, did/ does the baby have a yolk sack? arros with yolk sacs are very sensative, also if it didn't was it eating and has it been eating all of the food you put into its tank? Does he have any were to hide, like in some surface plants, that can sometimes help reduce stress. Unfortunately give the fact that you just majorly upset your system and you have a pretty fragile fish I doubt that he will make it, but there is always a chance, keep the tank temps steady and the water changes frequent and small amounts (if you can change a gallon a day, prefferably half a gallon at a time several hours apart) and what ever you do don't toss a whole bunch of food in there to try and get him to eat, a little tastey food (prefferably live) is a much better option.

It does not have a yolk sack when I bought it. It was about 4-5 inches when I got it at a pet shop for 20 dollars.

I will transfer it to my 75 gallon aquariam tommorow as i need a day or two to transfer my koi to the pond.

So now is this what i do?

Try to relieve stress and keep it in a stable temp?

in the nicest way poss:

1: wat are you doing keeping that type of fish in that type of tank?!!
2: why are you even suprised its ill and unhappy when you dont even have a test kit. stick to your koi goldfish!

no offence

Ok, this morning the aro seems to be fine now, maybe its jsut the drastic temp change, I have transfered it to a good 75 gallon tank already heated overnight at 80 degrees F

EDIT: Mr James, Kois are cool, A lot more cooler than goldfish in my opinion...
