Armoured Plec?

can anyone confirm to me whether there is actually a particular type of plec that is armoured from other normal plecs?

i understand they are armoured catfish, but when people refer to an 'armoured plec', what are they refering to?

ive heard of people keeps otos with them? but i think it would depend on the tank so they arent too territorial

i have ottos with them at the moment, but the ottos arent too fussed on the green algae that has developed

i have been advised that 'armoured'(yeah, what a crock) plecs will mop this up for me
