They all look fat. I fed way too much today I think. I got new pellets for my Betta and put loads in. I just found out she only needs a couple.

They are all looking fat up front at the moment. I know two of the platies are pregnant but all of them have gone fat since I fed them today. Should I feed tomorrow or leave it a day? is it best to feed two small meals a day or all in one?

Will this have harmed them?

Also how do I know if my tetras are eating? They stay in the middle so don't surface to grab the food. And they are small so I never see their mouth opening.

Oh and all of them except the tetras are eating the algae wafer I put in for my nail! Is this bad?

What else are you feeding? Just betta pellets? And what else is in your tank, and how big is the tank?

I'd not feed for a day. And then I'd feed one small meal a day, not two. Figure that the stomach is about as big as the eye so that should let you know how much they can eat. Not much!

My tetras are usually the last to eat, but they're all well fed, so they're getting to it somehow.

No I feed Tropical Flake and Betta pellets for my Betta came today but I put too many in. I have Platy, 1 betta and Cardinal tetra. Two zebra nerite snails.

I know I put way too much in. I'll not feed tomorrow then cut it down after that. Two pellets for the Betta and a little flake for the others.

You can skip feeding for a day or two to allow them to process everything you've fed them. Perhaps you'll need a water change after such a feeding frenzy? Water can cloud after the fish have been overfed. Not to mention what overfeeding can do to your WP. Good luck!

Sometimes with those pellets they end up turning into a science experiment at the bottom of the tank. That's when I pull out my tubing and get a siphon going to single those pieces out while I'm doing my water change. Works wonders.

Yeah I did a water change and siphoned up loads of poo lst night. They were like pooing machines last night!!! So it's been cleaned and water changed. I'm not feeding them today. They all actually look better already thank god. Their front parts were so fat last night.

You need to avoid doing that overfeeding too often. I never have used betta pellets but would say, by the size of them, that maybe 2 per betta would be enough. The platy will eat no more than a betta so try to keep in mind the actual amounts you are feeding to that tank. I prefer to use multiple very small feedings for my fish but sometimes it is just too much work with as many tanks as I have. A single daily feeding can be used with no problem as long as you restrain yourself.
