look at the tank temperature last night 27 so decided to turn the heater down but it was down as far as it would go so I got the thermometer out of another tank to check and yes it was right the thermometer was in the lowest position and still on it did not turn off and the temperature kept rising so it's turned off and I'll have to return the heater to the shop this afternoon. Luckily my parents are taking the children away for the weekend so one they arrive I can go, no way am I trying to go swap a heater with the two of them in tow.

I was worried about boiling Storm poor fish he was so happy yesterday as well

Its really annoying when heaters do this, we rely on them so much and well we trust them to work too. Its a good job you kept an eye on it

I've just realised this means going to the shop with no kids and no husband to stop me looking and buying.

I feel stressed in the shop as its full of snakes but I can overcome this and look at fish

I must not buy, I must not buy

Self hypnosis does work :fun:

Opportunity knocks. lets see the new fishy pics when you get back :p

No I honestly have no space 200l community in the living room belonging to hubby, 60l fry tank in the kitchen with my 2 bristlenose and about 30 fry, 27l betta tank in bathroom housing Storm

Plus Hubby not a betta lover infact he dislikes them a lot

Lol I'll end up in the divorce court

No honestly we only have a 2 bed end terrace and no garden we are full as it is with a boy and gril having to share a room, I don't have enough sockets and plus we run 2 businesses from home so life is hectic now if it was millinery equipment I could find space

I'm also dreading the next electric bill

I feel your pain of the broken heater, last tine I had one break it was screacking like a dieing rabbit...not pleasant.

good luck shopping by your self :)

 I still feel nervous placing an electrical heater in a tank of water. I know Fred really like it. Have fun shopping by yourself. Even if you don't buy anything it is still nice being able to wander around and shop at your own pace. No kids tearing up the selves and no hubby b!&^ing about you taking to long or my favorite line "Your not going to buy anything else for that stupid fish". My hubby has warmed up to Fred but when I first got him Hubby kept threatening to flush Fred. They have a truce now. :good:
