Are You Able To Keep...

Not just the ram, the 2 females will fight. A member on here, had 2 female's together ( even though I advised her not too ) and the dominant female made it so that the smaller female was hiding constantly, and would barely come out for food.

oh i didnt know that.

tbh i thought we had a pair [i pressume we do have 2 females] but the lfs gave me 2 females

I dont particularly have a choice at the moment they will have to stay in there for now, theres plenty of space and places to hide until i can figure something out

when would they show aggression...a few days?

Glenbo's male Krib took a fight with her firemouth and the fire mouth took the best of him. Glenbo also said where the male was starting a fight with other cichlids, all placid. I would have done, A pair of cacatuoides, and a pair of rams. That is what andrewwatson has in a smaller tank. Or you could have done the panduro. Is your ram a male or female. You don't have to have a pair of rams.

Rehome your kribs- both of them, and get the panduro, or cacatuoides, and some cool dithers, and a bristlenose pleco.

my ram is female she swims along side the kribs lol

I didnt think that i would have a problem with 2 females

i guess it depends on the temperament of the fish too

I have no expirence with them, but have read reports of them. Kinzo1's female cacatuoide killed the other female cacatuoide, so I would really watch out. Plus kribs are more agressive, so I don't think that there would be no problem. Good luck though.

Is there any point keeping Just female Rams? i think they are boring :p

You never know what will work out MewMew, If they are all Females I doubt they will bother eachother to much but Male Kribs are very territorial as Betta boy said about mine! (R.I.P)

I suggested it because They are not the easyest thing to pair up. I have a single male ram, and I like him. He chases the tetras During feeding, although they get their share.

It wont last. How sure are you that it is a female, it could be a young male?

the ram? she has a pink belly, same for the kribs although it is fainter

im having major problems with my tank right now though

I lost one

not due to aggression they were fine together

some serpae tetras added before them bought in slime disease and killed about 20 fish including a krib

Im having a re-think, if the remaining krib survives i may get her a mate or a friend i dont know, id like angels but still apistos

ooo its all gone wrong =[

thanks for asking though =]

If I am correct, They don't just automatically pair up. It depends on how deep your tank is. Is it at least 18" deep? That is what angels need. I think you could keep your ram, a pair of apisto, and maybe a keyhole, but the krib was a bad idea if you wanted to keep more dwarf cichlids.

i may just leave her on her own if it will sort out teh aggression, and move the ram back into the other tank

yeah its over 18" i think, i just dont want anything to get eaten or battered lol

im starting over so we'll see

trial and error
