are whiptails and discus compatible

I was wondering if whiptails and discus are ok together because I heard that pleco's suck on discus and eventually kill them and whiptails seem to be like pleco's so can they go together?

Whiptails come from fast moving and generally cooler waters with a higher oxygen content so are likely to be very unhappy in the 28-30c water that discus need to thrive.
