I'm a NEWBIE!

Ive got a 25 gallon freshwater tank with 2 angelfish, 2 bala sharks, 1 boeseman rainbow and 1 dwarf gourami. Ive started 3 months ago, they look all pretty lively and happy - had no problems with water or ph or nothing.

My boeseman rainbow was quite calm and not very colourful, until 2 weeks back when I bought the dwarf gourami, they "clicked" immediatey! my rainbow was showing off colours like mad, and always close to the gourami, now last week they've been doing a weird "dance" . The rainbow is waving its tail from side to side with the gourami at his back, and then I noticed the angels are also doing something else they don't normally do - seems like they kissing. Is there some kind of hormone in the water? are they mating? I don't even know which of them are males or females.

The weird thing is that the rainbow and gourami are different species - what are they doing?
being friends :)

Its most likely agression, kissing in fish is also agressive behavior, im no expert on your fish, but bala sharks are not suitable for a 25gal at all- they grow to a foot long and need a 70gal so you will need to rehome them unless you are planning on a tank upgrade.
edit: oops, sorry if i sounded a bit harsh there, welcome to the forum

yes it will deffinately be agrssion between the 2 fish as they are different species and theres no chace of breeding as for the angels i have not a clue and the sharks will deffinately need rehomeing or a bigger tank.
