I have a 64Litre tank, plants, and have just started running a Co2 unit. I have an airstone on for 10hrs a day and the lighs on for about 12. I have been adding the recomnended dose of filter start by interpt 1.5ml every 2 days and initial dosed the system with 5ppm Ammonia... Below are my results for first 3 days

ph Ammonia Nitrite Nitrate

7 4-5 0 N/A
7 4-5 0.15 N/A
7-7.5 1-2 0.5 25-30

From what I know of this fishless cycling the results look pretty good, however my concern in they are two good. No one else on here seems to get results like these as quick. Im going to start check twice a day now and keeping ammoning up between 2-3ppm. I did hasnt test nitrate on first two days.

Another question, should I run my co2 24hrs a day or only when the lights are on?

Also, in my aquarium i have a 15W bright light on one side and then on the other a 15W soft light called moon light.... The plants seem to be doing better on the side that has the bright light....Would I be better having two of these in?

Few things that will be problems i can spot.

12hrs for light is too long more so when your doing a fishless cycle, light + ammonia will = mega algae. Also plant is are not good idea for a fishless cycle as they will absorb ammoina and they need light which we dont want in the tank with ammonia. You may think everything is fine now but ignore the advise i you will have bother downthe line :)
