hi, i have a 45 gal tank, 216l 4ft by 1.5 by 1.3. are these fish ok for it?

5 sae
pair of pearl gouramis
10 harlequins
3 or more otto cats
10 threadfin rainbowfish
10 dwarf neon rainbowfish
4 p. pulcher

thanks, :good:

i would go for at least 6 otos as they like to be in groups, ive heard that sae's can be territorial with their own kind but 5 should be okay

the only problem i see is the p. pulcher, what gender ratio will you be getting? the males can be aggressive to most things even when not breeding and they dont like to share the bottom of the tank!

you may be best off going for rams

other than that sounds good!

threadfin rainbows are beautiful!

hi, i've already got the kribs, i was convinced by the guy in the shop to buy them, i couldn't tell the sex of them as they were quite young, but there is 1 male and 3 female. they have layed eggs loads of times, but they only ever hatched last time, but only lived a couple of days. is this ratio ok?

i also have the ottos for a couple of years now, but only have three left, i was thinking of getting some more as i had read they do better in groups.
i don't go to p@h any more where i got the kribs from because the fish always die!
i found a maidenhead aquatics and never had a fish die from them.

cheers

have you noticed any aggression between them? you can always give i it a go if not, though i am inclined to keep them as a pair - male and female

otherwise things sound okay to me!

wooo maidenhead! lol

hi, no aggression except a bit of chasing about. no injuries. also, would my tank be about full with those fish in?

i would say it would be just about to start with

but if you have a test kit that's the best way to know if it is enough or too much, if there are unwanted spikes

the tank has been set up for a couple of years, so it is fully matured. is it still full?

cheers
