Are There Any Fish Siseases That Look Like

thought id ask as lately my firemouth and 1 if my jade eyed cichlids seem to have paired up. they have claimed a territory which the jade eye keeps clean etc and does his little courtship dance. the firemouth looks to have ovipositor showing but has been like that for about a week now with no spawning. so is it just shes not interested or is she ready to spawn or is there any disease that looks like that?

the 2 of them stick together like glue . pretty sure the spirulus is male ( extended fins slight nochial hump)

all the colour completely drained out of the firemouth for a few days. prompting frantic testing y me. all stats perfect . ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10 to 15 . the colour has ll returned to the firemouth now . looking all sexy again. any ideas?

Im with nelly, she is just horny and possibly trying to temp him, but I cant imagine that anything would come of it, even if she lays eggs and he attemps to fertilise, that they would actually get to the free swimming stage.

Add a large male FM, then you might see results (and complete chaos as well).

cant really say im fussed enough to do that . ( add male firemouth that is) just checking it was what i thought it was and not some weird ilness
