Are There Any Community Puffer Fish?

I have always been quite keen on puffer fish. I always see the green spotted puffer fish in stores, but was wondering if there were any small puffers that could be kept in a community tank?

You can keep certain puffers with other fish although not the usual community fish.

There are tons of posts discussing this very topic. It varies depending on the type of puffer, but typically you can find suitable tank mates given the right tank size.

all puffer fish are pretty much not suitable for a community tank. except one! the amazon puffer aka the ( bumble ) bee puffer. 100 percent compatible. although some can be very aggressive to small fish when fully grown as they can reach 5 inches. also there is a dwarf puffer that doesnt get bigger than 2cm but they are notorius fin nippers :L i have both in my comm tank and they are doing fine. although my rainbow fish picks on the amazon puffer fish. i hope this helps

It really does all depend on the temperament of the puffer....mine get along perfectly with two mollies, and a dragon fish, but im just lucky with the two I have.
