Are Oscars Fast Growers

Sorry i dont know if i posted this in the wrong area any way.

i had seen my cousins ocar he was like 3 inches in a 3foot tank he bought a 4ft tank next time i went over his house(2 And a half or 3 Months) the oscar was 10 inches long

yes new world cichlids but not to worry.

yes they grow very fast up to around 9-10inches hope he has a large enough tank min 55gallons

My ones I had years ago grew from 1" to 8" in 6 months...they soemtiems seem larger than they are because they are so muscular/deep bodied

they grow incredibly fast as babies till they get about 8 inches or so then it slows a fair bit
