I know with axies that in order to treat them with mealworms the heads need to be cut off. Is this the same for bettas and are mealworms suitable as a treat or are they a no no? Figured it was best to ask before I try him on one in case I harm my pretty little boy :D

I haven't tried mealworms as yet but do intend to if I can get the real small ones. I have fed my bettas moth larvae (the ones you find in your pasta packets), earth worms and maggots. Im also going to try feeding them ant eggs and fly pupae. My friend suggested those for my discus but I feel these would be good for my bettas too.
