Are Jumbo Guppies Just Normal Guppies?

hay guys my friend just recently gave me 4 baby jumbo guppies and I wanted to know are they just normal guppies that were old? is jumbo guppies a different breed of guppie or are they just Old?

On the topic of jumbo guppies.. Do get both male & female jumbo guppies? Because I read that чou can only get female jumbo guppies... & from what age can чou roughly tell the gender?
