I am looking to get some Bolivian rams for my 90gal tank and I was wondering whether they are mid level fish? if they are lower level my rtbs may get aggressive towards them.

They are supposed to be bottom dwellers but they aren't like catfish. They will stay near the bottom/middle of the tank though. I'd imagine they'd be fine together in a 90 gallon assuming the rest of your stocking is compatible :good:

Current stock is 9 x rummynose, 6 x Yoyo loaches and 1 x Red tailed black shark. I may get the rams about 6 of them and some hatchet fish and then I will be fully stocked and have activity all around the tank. :)

They are middle/bottom dwellers, mine are always on the bottom. I'd say they're more of a bottom dwelling species.

I am trying to decide between angels or rams to complete my tank, supposedly the yoyo's will fin nip the angels, I want to go with either a group of 6 angels or 6 rams

I would say they spend 90% of their time near the bottom. Personally I think the angels would give you more activity throughout the tank.

you could try firemouths instead of Boivians, they are all over the place, while Bolivians dont generally go higher than 6 inches off the substrate.

Would the firemouths be to aggressive with stocking I have in my tank or would they work? I like the look of them but I am not sure if they will work..
