They are egg layers, the day barbs are livebearers is the day i sprout wings! How big is your tank? Got any pic's? This would do better in the Cyprinids, Characins and Atherinids section. Is your tank cycled?

i dont know the full name for them so i didnt actually know where to put them
i have put them in a tank thats well planted and has been up and cycled for over 3 months now,i have been trying to get pics, my my god they are fast :(

its 98 litres ( app) and there are 2 blue opulane gouramis, 2 dwarf gouramis and a plec, that is waiting to be moved into a much larger tank ( have high nitrites at the moment so putting it off till thats sorted out)

this is the tank about 2 months ago, just so you can get an idea of the size etc, now 1 less dwarf gouramis and more plants, a fuval 4 filter, the large rock is gone replaced with a smaller one

Hmm, thats about 25 gallons. I just googled and you should be fine. They are Tiger Barbs. It would be in the fishes best interest to take them back. As if you already had high nitrites, then adding more is cruel and is going to make them worse.

no,no,no the nitrites are in the other tank ( the one that im wanting to move the plec to)i wouldnt have dreamed of getting more to add the tank with nitrites, the tank where the barbs are is ( as pic)

ammonia-0 nitrates 10 nitrites 0 ph 6.8

i know this will change over the next few days,:)

sorry should have explained it more clearley:)
