So I  decided to give it a shot. At a very affordable price of $69.99 (got it on sale for $54.00) for the 50GPD unit I decided what the hell. I also purchased a portable TDS meter to test the input and ou put water. So after the 5min or so it took to setup the unit i tested the tap water which was 155ppm TDS. I then hooked up the unit let it run for a couple hours to get my desired amount and poured out a sample of water and tested it again. The RO out put was 0.07ppm and that's without the additional RI cartridge (sold separately) attached. I must say for a $70 unit and those result that's a great value. Cant wait to add the RI cartridge and see what it puts out.

I went out and got the added DI cartridge and retested the output water and happy to report 0.00ppm TDS.
