there is a list in the newbie section but it only has common abbrevs like LOL, LFS, N02... etc. It doesn't include the fish. I personally haven't been back to read the newbie pinned topics anymore so think this should be posted here in tropical chit chat.

I edited the first post so the master list is the first one, I'll add new additions there as they come up. I also included the acronyms from the list in the newbie section, so it might be somewhat redundant. I figured its better to have them all in one place.

B. splendens = short for Betta splendens, commonly known as "Bettas"
Val(s) = Vallisneria plant(s)
Hygro = Hygrophilia; refers to a plant(s) in the Hygrophilia genus

That's all I can think of right now.
