I use aquasafe and king british safewater in my tank, i have been having a debate with someone recently who says they are basically the same product that do the same thing.

I don't think that this is true at all, aquasafe is a water conditioner that is used to remove chlorine and other chemicals from the water to make it safe for the fish etc.

King british safewater is used to help boost your filter and encourages more bacteria to grow, it also helps remove ammonia and nitrites.

So i don't see why they are basically the same product as they do totally different things, aquasafe does not encourage more bacteria to grow and doesnt boost the filter like safewater does.

Does anyone agree with me on this issue??

They will both dechlorinate your tap water.

But from what i can see they have different benifits. So they are the same in one respect but not in another.

King British safeguard, is their dechlorinating product King British safewater seems to be a product or assisting in the break down of nitrates and a stress coat type thing.

King british safewater is used to help boost your filter

Which the filter does by itself if need be. Bacteria multiply by themsselves pretty quickly.

and encourages more bacteria to grow
Which theres no point in doing becasue the amount of bacteria is proportional to the amount of waste, so see above.

it also helps remove ammonia and nitrites.
Which the filter does by itself anyway.

There are better ways to spend your money... Like more fish :shifty:
