Aquarium Water In Drop Checker?

Just got a co2 drop checker from ebay and the directs say to use tank water but i've read thatt you should use distilled water or atleast tap water.

What should i use?

i like this..no messing around to get it right or chemistry...just fill the checker up and add 3 drops of ph soultion

You need 4dKH solution and bromo blue (or some Ph test kits)

Aqua Essentials sell both.

Reason is your tank water has so many vairables in it that the accuracy of the reading can be inaccurate, whereas 4dKH solution will always have a permanent reference point therefore the swing from blue-green-yellow should be much more accurate.
