I took a bottle of my aquarium water to Petsmart, about an hour ago. They tested my water and ran an analysis on it for me. Basically, the results that I got, were normal from what I was told.

Ammonia results are .2
Nitrite read 0
Nitrate read 0
pH read 6.8
Alkalinity read 80
Hardness read 75
Chlorine and Chloramine reads 0

I have and have had, a Goldfish and a Male Guppy (fancy) in the tank. (Goldfish is only in there because I was using it for cycling the tank), and after she told me my results are good, I bought a female Guppy to go along in the tank with my male Guppy.

You should be aiming for a 0 with the Ammonia I would not call that normal water and you have 0 Nitrates? I would recommend you look at the beginners resource centre in this forum and read about cycling and water chemistry of a tropical fish tank.

Also I recommend you look at the fish species index and look up Guppy's and study how to look after them that's if you have not done that already.

I wont leave the links ill let you find them yourself

What happens to the goldfish now your tank is supposedly cycled?

You will find the API master test kit on line for about $20 plus a nominal shipping fee if you look around a bit, they are closer to $30 plus tax locally. Compared to buying the unreliable paper strips at over $5 for a small number of tests, I find them quite economical. I have had mine for over 2 years now and still have tests left of all types. Note that I only test very much on a new tank or when something about my fish behavior makes me curious about their water. Once established and a routine is set up for a tank, it seldom gets another test.
