help me! my aquarium went under ich attack! the worst case is my pictus catfish. his whole front body is covered in white specks and hes been scratching his body all over his cave! and my peacock eel, has many ich spots on him too. i found one zeke but it came off. all the fish seem fine exept my pictus and peacock eel! i already raised the aquarium temp. to 80 degrees. but how can i treat them without taking out my fish? and, i have scaless fish (BGK and eel) so i dont know if its safe. please help!   :( :-(

ok i got the medication, instructions and there is only one thing left to do: should i move out my BGK or not? he had 1 or 2 ich spots on his back, but they came off. should i put him in a seperate tank while treating the other fish, or should i leave him there (considering he HAD a ich spot yesterday( but it came off))? please answer this squestion ASAP!

have a read through this link: http://www.skepticalaquarist.com/docs/health/ich.shtml one of the best resources for information about ich on the Internet. It covers how to properly treat a tank, myths and truths about ich, and everything important you need to know about the organism. Post if you have any questions.

Regarding "should i put him in a seperate tank". The answer is no -- the entire tank has ich, so there is not really any benefit from separating him.

seriously people i need info actually at this hour or...uhh....

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE IM DESPRATE! I NEED INFO LITERALLY NOW!!! *panics and goes crazy*

Zeke, let me just say in response to this that this is a forum of volunteers. And, it wasn't even an hour since your last post. Ich does not kill that fast, be patient and someone will come along and post (as I did right before this one...)

If you felt this was truly an emergency, why wasn't this in the Emergencies section?
