early on I had a bout with ick and had to salt the tank my tetras were in They got a little pale towards the end of teh treatement but recovered fine.

scale-less fish like tetras, loaches, cories, plecs generally dont tolerate aquarium salt. If you feel you must use it , do so at half dose.
