i have a 180 liter juwel vision with 3 angels - 2 pleco - 11 neons at the moment

problem is every time i add fish they die may take a week may take only a day if lucky 2

i added 2 angels the other day and the next day 1 was floating at the top of the tank was swimming but wasn't really in control the faint current of the filter outlet was making him float rounds in the tank later that evening he died next day same happend to the other 1

also they never seem to die together but always 1 at the time

did water test every thing is fine all my other fish are healthy neons are nice and bright

water:

PH 7-7.5
GH 4
KH 5

please some1 tell me what the problem is

You only have water stats for ph, gh, kh, do you know what your ammonia ,nitrIte and nitrAte levels are?

How long has the tank been set up and how did you cycle the tank?

I don't keep angels, although I do believe they prefer a Ph of 6.4-6.8 although I doubt this is why they are dying.

i use my own RO water and hoover the bottom atleast 1s a week and water change 20-30% every week so couldn't be a high amount of nitrate could it ?

3 week fishless cycle after that added the 3 angels and 10 neon there where 10 danio's but i sold them added 10 more neons with the 2 new angels and a few died but the 11 are super healthy

1 of the pleco's has some colour changes he was dark brown now has a camouflage dark/light brown if that might give a cue

ill test for nitrate anyway

tank has been running for about 2 months now

How did you cycle your tank?

You need a test kit (preferably liquid), and need to test for Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, and pH.

^Like stated above, make sure when you buy your fish that they are in a healthy condition. This can be done by just watching the fishes behaviors.

When you say fishless cycle, do you mean with pure ammonia or did you use something else?

Nitrates are not likely to be the problem, its ammonia and nitrIte that may be, so if you could test for those it might shed some light.

Are you using pure Reverse Osmosis water for your tank?

3 Weeks seems like a pretty short time for a tank to fully cycle. Were you adding ammonia to the tank and monitoring ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate everyday? On average, a fishless cycle takes 4-6 weeks.

Don't feel "shy" or bad about answering these questions, your answers will only further help us decide what is happening in your tank.

Hi

You really need to test for Ammonia and NitrIte too. These would play a bigger part in whats happening to your fish.

i used safe start for the cycle

the RO water gets the salts added so its on a ph of 7-7.5

did the tests:

ammonia 0.0 mg/l
nitrit <0.1 mg/l
nitrate 0.0 mg/l

the strange thing is the 3 angels and the neon are doing fine why do the new fish keep dying on me ?

Not sure if this is the case, but RO water is not good for freshwater fish, as it has 0 GH, and 0 KH. Also, RO water should be aerated before putting it in, just because of the low levels of O2 it has. When adding RO water to a freshwater tank, it should be mixed with de-chlorinated tap water, to ensure that there is plenty of O2, GH, and KH in the water. Other than that RO would harm freshwater fish, and it also has a lack of beneficial minerals that fish need.

EDIT: I would do some research when adding RO water to a freshwater tank.

the mineral salts add the GH & KH

but your point of no O2 in the water could make sense

but why aren't my old fish dying but the new 1s are ?

as stated in my first post PH 7-7.5 GH 4 KH 5 so thats alright

and i need to use RO water cause my tap water is way to hard

You could try to mix your tap water with RO in a bucket or something, and then test the parameters and see if it is safe for your fish. That will be your best bet if you wanted to mix it.

RO water is fine for a freshwater tank provided it has minerals added to it. Five of my seven tanks all have RO water with no problems.
Are you buying the fish from the same place or have you tried different stores?

same local pet store got 2 convicts there to they are doing fine just that they where a pain for the other fish always chasing after em so i put em in another tank
