when it says 5x such and such a plant it basically means 5 stems making up to 1 plant bunch, not actually 5 bunches of the plant...i made this mistake once when ordering plants, i thought they had my order wrong, but then i realised it was my mistake

by the way people will get annoyed if you start 3 new threads on the same topic which i see you have

It's a kinda like they are tricking you......

Either way it's too many different types of plants for one tank IMO. I recently ordered plants for my 48" tank. 12 different types, 26 plants/bunches total.

ok soz for the multiple thread wasnt sure where best to post it , the tank im looking at using this in ai a juwel rio 300. so you would say this would be not too heavilly planted then?

dont worry, just thought id warn you. looking at that list, id say there will be about 25 bunches of plants in that 'package' look at your tank and try to visualise them, couldnt tell you if its too much for your tank cos i hav no idea what it looks like. it would also depend if you want a good planted tank,i always think it looks better with more plants, its a personal choice.
i think they work it out as if your tank is 48" wide then it will be okay to have that one. go for it! and for the above comment imo i like a big mixture of plants

would be at first, but then the more difficult/ highlight / ones not suited to your water will die off, and then it wont be very heavily planted.

but then all the ones that thrive in your tank will fill out, and it will be heavily planted.

They must be tiny ... and they wont all survive.

ok i see this will be my 1st crack at a planted tank measures (in cm) 120 l 41 w 73h so will want some quite tall growing plants for background

is it greenline or plants alive? ive used both, very good quality and good size would use them again

its plants alive was going to use greenline but i see they have ceased trading. rekon i will go to the library and pick up a copy of planting fish tanks for dummies lol

I suggest you read some of the pinned threads in the planted tank section about the basic care of plants and decide what type of tank you want to do. Most tank can only support the very low light plants, without any upgrades and ect.

or you could do what i do now and go plastic!! very low maintenance and garanteed not to die!

noooooooooooooooooooooooo lol am using plastic at the mo and i hate them they look crappy ( no offence lol) i want to create a propper natural underwater world

Yeah plastic plants are terrible. I decided a month ago to go planted with all my tank. Its taken me a month to switch my 48" plastic community tank over to a planted tank. And tomorrow the plants will finally be arriving. Buying plants and putting them in the tank is easy, getting them to grow and flourish is a little more difficult.
