Aquarium Light Buzzing

Is it normal for the lights on the aquarium to buzz.

My aquarium has been running for about 2.5 months and I never noticed it until yesterday. Had a noisy power head (another post ) which hopefully I'm on the way to fixing.

I'm just wondering if the buzzing is normal as it is quite loud. It's not really an issue because they are only on during the day but just wondering if the buzzing is normal or do I have a faulty product (AGAIN!)

Almost forgot it is 6 T5 tubes.

I would check the mounting of your lamp ballast. It may be that it is not screwed down tight and is vibrating. On a thin mounting surface, that can make a heck of a racket with nothing really being wrong.

you should check the starter for the tubes if you can find it, sometimes if they are lose they make a buzzing sound in your tubes (learnt that from our store since we have about 50 tube lights)

one of my older hoods do this, its annoying but harmless i think.
