Aquarium Floating Base

Hi all,

I am new to this forum,

i needed to know how to check if my aquarium has a floating base.

i have attached the picture of the tank i have recently purchased.

Look at the underside. It the plastic trim goes underneath the tank, and forms a 'ledge' that the glass is sitting on, then that's a floating base.

If the plastic doesn't go underneath, and the base is just flat glass, then it doesn't have a floating base, and will need polystyrene under it.

That's the little Tetra tank that I have. It does not have a floating base. At least mine doesn't, I just checked it.
