Aquamanta Efx 200 External Filter

Has anyone on here got the "aquamanta efx 200 external filter"

Reason is I cannot understand how it should be with the inlet off the power head into the canister.

Here is a quick photo of the inlet into the canister, it flows through the tube:



Should there be an O'Ring on this inlet as it is a loose fit. If it is loose then I carnt see the water pumping through the filter as it can escape from the inlet to the outlet.

I am not familiar with that particular filter but it should have a decent seal, maybe not perfect, between the inlet tube and the surrounding area. Otherwise you will be getting lots of bypass flow.

Yes I have got one of those filters. There is an amendment to the instruction book that refers to the o ring in question. The newer models of EFX200 use a different mechanism to the older filters and no o-rings are needed or supplied with these filters.
